National Butchers Week is a new special event taking place from March 10-16.

National Butchers Week is aimed at raising the profile of retail butchers with consumers, to encourage people who might not have used their butcher shop in a while, or those who only use it at Christmas and special occasions, to step back across the threshold and find out what’s on offer.

National Butchers Week is organised by Meat Trades Journal and has the support of all the key national butchers’ organisations, including the Guild of Q Butchers whose members are among the best in the business.

The week will encourage consumers to draw on their local butcher’s in-depth knowledge…on everything from cooking times and menu suggestions to the best cuts for certain dishes.

Ed Bedington, Editor of Meat Trades Journal, says: “If consumers are looking to buy meat, there is simply nowhere better than their local butcher.

“Butchers have the knowledge, skills and products to satisfy any consumer. Where else can customers go to get that level of personal, knowledgeable service?

“This week is aimed at reminding them of that.”

Pop in to your Q butcher during the week for best products, best quality, best service. But remember…Q butchers provide all three, 52 weeks of the year!
