Guild Seeks Entries For Smithfield Awards The Guild’s Product Evaluation for the prestigious 2007 Smithfield Awards will take place in October when products in seven categories will be assessed for diamond, gold, silver and bronze awards. Product categories are sausages, burgers, bacon & cured products, cooked meats & roasts, pies & bakery, kitchen ready products and Christmas products. The evaluation will take place at MLC headquarters in Milton Keynes when a panel of assessors, under the supervision of Keith Fisher, Butchery Product Development and Presentation Manager, will put products to the test. The Smithfield Awards will be presented at a celebration lunch in Butchers Hall, London, on November 13 when TV chef Paul Rankin will be the guest of honour. |
